Over time, I developed a passionate obsession for the luxury fibres, never to go back to acrylic. I always thought I was a yarn/fibre snob until I found this yarn...
I couldn't resist the earthy and warm tones of this yarn, the price point was just right for my yarn stash budget but ***gasp***, it is... 50% acrylic and not eco friendly!
I tried my hand at knitting up a baby hat...

Nice cables, Diane!
So, go have a super-snooty coffee or something and you'll forget all about that 50% acrylic...
Oh Diane, that's just lovely. I love the feel of that yarn too and the colours are gorgeous.
I agree with A simple Yarn - a super-snooty chai will hepl you get over the acrylic content! (It hepls me!) :)
The problem with the cheap yarn? You tend to end up with a bajillion yards of the stuff and you can't ever seem to finish it!
I love that yarn, too! I bought some as a friend who's a newbie knitter for a Christmas gift. She knit a feather and fan scarf that turned out beautifully, and it's so much softer than Noro.
I've gone the same way! Though I believe natural fibres are usually superior, synthetics definitely have their place. Even the harlot was wearing an acrylic shawl last time I saw her!
